The Clinton Public Library was established in 1910 by the Wisconsin Traveling Library, with the Clinton 20th Century Club sponsoring the library for many years. During the 1980s the library's annual circulation more than tripled, increasing from 9,000 items in 1979 to 34,000 in 1990. The library's collection includes books, newspapers, magazines, pamphlets, compact discs, videotapes, book-record sets, audiocassettes, filmstrips, books on cassette, artprints, and a variety of other materials.
Since the library is a member of the Arrowhead Library System, library users have access to millions of other library materials through the interlibrary loan arrangement. The library also offers many programs, including preschool story hours, programs for adults and summer programs for school age and preschool children.
